Sep 10, Michaela rated it liked it. Jacqueline Wilson was one zipmkuth my favourite authors as a child. The story is well written and an extremely easy read. I feel the nature of the book means that it is more suitable for slighter younger children than some of her other books, so I feel a recommend age of years is appropriate.

Lizzie me Pernah ngambek saat masih kecil?

Sebab, Nenek Buyut punya koleksi boneka banyaaaaak sekali.

Sep 06, Charlotte added it. I remember reading Jacqueline Wilson books when I was younger, and loving them for the way they related to everyday life and issues, in a really child-friendly way.

The book is all about a young girl that keeps having to join new families and meet new people as her mum gets a new partner. She becomes so fed up that she refuses to talk to anyone and no matter how nice people are to her, she still doesn’t talk, until she meets her new great-gran. The story continues with Lizzie’s friendship with h I remember reading Jacqueline Wilson books when I was younger, and loving them for the way they related to everyday life and issues, in a really child-friendly way.

The story continues with Lizzie’s friendship with her great-gran blossoming through their shared love for dolls, up to the point where she feels able to talk properly again to all her new family and her mum. Lizzie’s great-gran is then taken into hospital after suffering from a stroke and it falls down to Lizzie to help her get her voice back and start enjoying life again.

It is a very heart-warming story which I think a lot of children can relate to as it focuses on changes in the family and everyday issues whilst growing up. The language used within the book is clear and concise, with harder words being explained. Illustrations throughout the book are helpful to emphasize main points in the story and for younger children reading it who may struggle with harder words.

Jacqueline Wilson has a way of writing that is comfortable and encouraging, whilst addressing needs that children are facing as they grow up.
