Published not long after their sophomore season, Albom respects the intellectualism of the reader – you know vab story, and he KNOWS that you know the story. This book is about five African-Americans who completely culture shocked the entire college basketball community.

What is eye-opening throughout the book is the way that Albom is able to get into the inner workings of the whole recruiting process for collegiate basketball. Ive already seen the documentary about the fab five but this just took it to a whole new level of detail. The fab five changed wlbom, black socks, long shorts and five freshmen. As the two seasons went on the fab five went through a lot of scrutiny, especially because all five of them were black. No wonder he’s become much more of a household name. Sure the fab five occurred awhile back but it still is important till this day.

This led to many basketball players wanting to copy exactly how the Fab Five were playing, and dressing. He is given unprecedented access into the lives of future stars and uses that to find out exactly what made them all tick, what motivated them and what drove them to rab.

Mitch Albom is a very consistent author and continues to uphold his reputation with this book. PistonPowered 2 years Alvom Pistons playoff chances take a slight fall.

These guys were huge trash talkers night in and night out getting in peoples heads but backing it up, Jalen Rose would do research every night about players family and personal life and trash talk to people Fab Five: The Fab Five wanted to change people’s perception of basketball.

I would most definitely recommend this book to anybody seeking a good sports story especially basketball. Throughout the story, they talk about the ups and downs of their careers, which I have heard about but this brought it more to life for me.

Although their accomplishments were tarnished by the Chris Webber scandal, in my opinion, the Fab 5 is one of the greatest stories ever. The good times, the controversies and the legend of the class are all bought to life in this amazing book by a brilliant author.

If I could change anything it would be that they win the national championship and not lose, and how the players were more compared to NBA Athletes. These guys were not your average college student athletes, all five of them were arrested on drug charges.

He was an animal on the court, with the primal prowess of a big black cat. Both fought off impulses to transfer. The Fab 5 is truly a terrific book. Now, Webber did get an opportunity to play for a truly unique team in Sacramento, a team that, despite never making the Finals, will still be remembered for those great series they had with the Lakers and for being one of the best passing teams ever in the modern NBA.
