The children I teach are cruel to each other, they lack compassion for misfortune, they laugh at weakness, they have contempt for people whose need for help shows too plainly. So, I agree with everything Gatto says about the problem, but I don’t share the same enthusiasm for his solution: Creates a dependency on experts.
