Dream of Me/Believe in Me by Josie Litton on Apple Books

On to the second book in Ms. Instead, both leading men are sappy sacks of lame who need sew up their vaginas! Discover what to read next. Nicola rated it it was ok Jun 16, Likely because the plot focused more on the ‘love after marriage’ trope and so you get to see how they come to learn about, and love each other.

It is a good Viking Romance. Naharica Akhter rated it really liked it Mar 12, He was her wall now, her shelter, her protection. If we could just talk to the animals — that would be very noisy.

I’m looking forward to reading more josoe this author. Instead three of her servants arrive: This was a “mine” growling hero. Married and living in Connecticut, she is the parent of two grown children. Truly romantic to sizzle the senses!! Krysta arrives in disguise and Hawk’s attracted to her, though fightint that since his betrothed will arrive any day soon.

In each case the bride they get comes with a special gift. It’s definitely not insta-love; insta-lust for sure, but their relationship developed really well, and I was just so mosie for them to be happy.

The hero is Cymbra’s brother who is Saxon and his bride is a Viking lady. I revisited this one recently and was a big disappointed. View all 68 comments.

Believe in Me by Josie Litton | : Books

The novel’s conclusion, which assembles the protagonists from Litton’s earlier entries, is anticlimactic, but their joyful reunion will please fans.

It wasn’t very fluffy, compared to what I would call a ‘bodice ripper’. What first struck me was the writing style. There has been an arranged marriage between Wolf and Cymbra but when a miscommunication bleieve, and Wolf thinks that Cymbra has cried off, he decides to go after her and kidnaps her and takes her back to his home. Oh and there was a cute drunk scene too where Wolf has a little too much to drink! I’ve read this at least 4 times now.

When Hawk’s sinister half-sister collaborates with a bevy of other schemers to try to drive a wedge between the couple, only Krysta can sense the looming danger that threatens both Hawk and the peace affected by their union. But her identity becomes revealed soon after she arrives and Krstya will have to win Hawk over and win his trust. The dialogue was cliche’ and not one of the characters in either book seemed to fit josle typical hard core viking.

I think this book would have been a lot better if these elements had either been left out or been stronger.

Krysta was constantly making bad decisions, talking too much which blieve unnecessary drama and issues. Lacey rated it it was amazing Aug 24, Believe in Me – Cymbra’s brother has been ordered by the King to marry a Norse noblewoman to in 2 books in one – and loved them both!

Nevertheless, he marries Rycca and takes her back to his settlement. Still love this series all these years later! They were dynamite together. He knows he adores her and fights for her and never gives up on winning her heart and proving that she is more than enough for him no matter where she comes from and who jozie parentage is.

Other books in the series.

Great stories, great characters! View all 48 comments. Dominant hero and a sassy heroine. This story revitalized my love of Viking romance and Litton has one of the best writing when it comes to medieval romances. No trivia or quizzes yet. The heroine could have gotten lihton my nerves because it seemed she was always going against everything the hero said but in her defense, she always had ke reasons.

One area I wish the author would have developed more is the heroine’s special “gift”.

Dream of Me/Believe in Me

Please try again later. I picked this up hoping for something closer to Outlander in terms of having the characters react in a way that was realistic to the times.

But Lady Krysta arrives bearing many secrets — including her gift for seeing what others cannot. Instead he discovers that she is a gifted healer who will challenge him to confront his deepest yearnings — and together they will become soul mates who forge a future blessed by peace. I was surprised at how much I love this book. And lifton antagonists – a bunch of really poor fools who can’t even plot a murder properly. Book Three is coming in May.
